When it comes to trading, nothing seems as easy as one-two-three or as simple as A-B-C. The pressure to succeed is high primarily because money is involved. The gains are great but the risks are greater, and every day new players enter the arena. How is a trader to emerge victorious?

First, a trader must choose which form of trading analysis he must adopt, fundamental or technical. Fundamental analysis takes into consideration the emotions of the market by looking at a company or a commodity's value. On the other hand, technical analysis studies the emotions of the market by identifying certain points in the chart. How to trade commodities is a concern that falls under the second form of trading analysis.

In technical analysis, the laws of supply and demand are greatly considered, especially because all eyes are on the price movements. Thus, a trader's common sense and savvy or street smartness are challenged and, in the process, honed. Before trading commodities, however, it is of vital importance that a trader has for himself a plan. Otherwise, he may only end up draining his account and rendering himself bankrupt.

So, how to trade commodities
? The first thing to consider is the commodity market to enter. Many professional traders believe that active traders should take no more than three commodities at a time. Next, it is important to pay attention to the size of the starting account. Starting accounts below $50,000 get eaten up pretty quickly, but some experts insist that the trouble lies in how small traders play, not in how small the account is. Finally - and most crucial of all, the right commodity trading strategies must be employed. Winging it or relying solely on chance will never work in the long run, so understanding key concepts and employing tried and tested formula are advised.
